Most gacha games aren't afraid to get lewd with their waifus, as I'm sure you're well aware by this point. But most aren't so lewd it's gotten in the way of adding content of the game, but that's what Snowbreak: Containment Zone has done on more than one occasion. The las ttime we spoke about it was because the Chinese shooter's English dub cast allegedly collectively resigned because of how hard the developers were pushing for fanservice. This time, Google themselves are stepping in.
Developers Seasun Games released a patch to update the game to version 2.1 on Steam, iOS and Android. However, the update for Android didn't proceed as planned due to being placed under review by the Google Play Store, supposedly for not meeting certain guidelines. Seasun did say they intended to look into it, and promised players would recieve in-game items to make up for the delay.
Luckily, it didn't take too long for the update to finally be approved for release on Android, and it went live as it did on other platforms. It's good to see Seasun managed to release the game as they wanted, but still concerning how much power big tech companies have over what people publish on their platforms. Seasun also announced they plan to release the game as an independant package for users to sideload, circumventing Google Play Store regulations and hopefully avoiding a similar incident in the future.
