Ever since it was first revealed, Persona fans were holding up hope that Persona 5: The Phantom X, a mobile game featuring an all new band of Phantom Thieves originally set to be released exclusively in Asian regions, will make its way to the west. Eventually, Sega confirmed they were at least thinking about it, but now we know for sure that it's not only getting an international release, but it's also coming to consoles.
At an event in Shanghai organized by Sega, Atlus and Phantom X developer Perfect World, a bunch of collabs with other Persona titles coming to Phantom X were confirmed, namely Persona 5, Persona 3 Reload and Persona 4 Golden, in that order, as well as the possibility of collabs with other IPs. There was also a Q&A section where someone asked about the possibility of a console release, to which the reply was "work on the console versions of P5X will get underway after the international release."
That's all we've got to go on so far; no word on which countries or console will see it specifically, or a release date. Still, at least we've got confirmation that we'll get it eventually. But hopefully the version we get won't have censored demon designs.
Are you guys looking forward to Persona 5: The Phantom X? Let us know in the comments!
