Persona 5: The Phantom X May Get Western Release After All

When Atlus first revealed Persona 5: The Phantom X, a mobile spin-off of Persona 5 that featured brand new gameplay elements, areas, personas, characters and of course waifus, will only be released in released in certain East Asian countries excluding Japan, there was a collective sigh of disappointment. Last month saw the game's open beta open in China, followed by the official release that was also available in South Korea and Taiwan. Fans who were wondering when we could see Wonder and the rest of the new phantom thieves will be released to hear that we know Sega are thinking of giving it a wider release.

In a recent financial report from Sega Sammy Holdings Inc, the parent company of Sega Corporation (the video game company), the section on Persona 5: The Phantom X had a segment that read, "Future expansion in Japan and global is under consideration.” It's not much to go off, sure, but knowing Sega, it's unlikely they'll have any reason to not release the game over here considering how successful mobile games based on popular IPs can be, especially since they've had a few already.
