Overwatch 2 Teams up With My Hero Academia for New Collab
By Yung Namahage • 1 month ago

Even Overwatch has been forced to compete with the likes of Fortnite and Call of Duty by bringing in crossovers with other IPs. They've already done it with Cowboy Bebop, One Punch ManTransformers and World of Warcraft, and now they're going Plus Ultra with new My Hero Academia skins. Check 'em out here:

As you can see, Tracer gets a Deku skin, Reinhardt is All Might, Juno is Uraraka, Reaper is Shigaraki and Kiriko is Toga. Tracer as Deku gives me a very British crossdressing pantomime protagonist vibe, but Reinhardt Might has a weird uncanny feel to him. Other than that, the other skins don't look too bad, and the quality of the crossover designs have generally gone up since the One Punch Man collab.

My Hero Academia's manga came to an end not too long ago, and the anime isn't far behind. It was definitely one of the biggest shonens of its time, but it is slightly behind the times compared to the new breed of shonen that's popular these days. It's still made its mark on weeb culture, even if a lot of it's older fans were put off by how much it changed over the years. Not too different from Overwatch, when you look at it like that.

The Overwatch 2 x My Hero Academia is set to drop on October 17. What do you think of these skins? Which other MHA characters would you like to see in Overwatch? Sound off in the comments!
