Despite the awfulness that was Netflix's attempt at a live-action adaptation, Cowboy Bebop is very much still a cult classic. But no series, no matter how niche and beloved, has to do something every now and then to stay relevant. Whether it's a remake, sequel or collaboration with another, more contemporary brand. Usually Fortnite is the go-to for collaborating with what people are into these days, but who would've anticipated that Cowboy Bebop will be coming to Overwatch?
Like they previously did with One Punch Man, Overwatch 2 will be getting more anime-inspired cosmetics, including emotes and intro animations, as well as the iconic music from the anime's OST. Of course, there's also skins for certain heroes based on the Bebop crew: Cassidy (FKA McCree) as Spike, Ashe as Faye, Sombra as Ed, new guy Mauga as Jet and finally, Wrecking Ball as Ein. The latter will be available for free by participating in the event, while the rest will be on sale in the game's shop. Check 'em out in this trailer, featuring the legendary Tank! by Yoko Kanno.
Keep an eye out for the skins being revealed in-game on March 11, a day before they come to the game itself. What do you guys think? Do Spike and the gang fit in Overwatch better than they would in Fortnite? Are you looking forward to them? I am and I don't even play Overwatch 2, but I'm hyped for the inevitable Faye skin Ashe SFM content. Leave your thoughts below!
