Cyberpunk 2077 could've gone down in gaming history as this generation's Duke Nukem Forever, if it weren't for CD Projekt Red eventually fixing their game and giving players what they wanted. A big part of of the game's resurgence in popularity was due to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, a collab between CDPR, Netflix and Studio Trigger that some people enjoyed more than the game itself. As if Lucy's upcoming addition to Guilty Gear Strive isn't enough to get the fans hyped, Netflix have annnounced a return to Night City.

Though this is just a brief teaser, since Studio Trigger aren't mentioned anywhere it's safe to say it'll be a new project based on the video game based on a much older board game, rather than a continuation of Edgerunners. It might not even be an anime; it could well be one of those in--house 2D/3D hybrid animations Netflix seem to be fond of. Whatever it is, it'll have a lot to live up to as a follow-up to Edgerunners, and maybe it'll bring more players to CP2077, too.
