As one of the horniest anime of the year, Gushing Over Magical Girls took a lot of people by surprise with its lewd parody of typical magical girl tropes, almost like a sexier and less depressing Puella Magi Madoka Magica. Even before it launched it was being promoted with fanservice, and we may see another such stunt now that season 2 is on the way.

Asahi Production confirmed the anime will return with a second season soon, which will continue to follow the plot of the original manga. This means more lewd magical girl encounters as Utena digs into her horny sadistic side. Check the announce trailer here:

We don't know much else about the upcoming season just yet, but considering how popular the first season got, it's possible Asahi Production will pull something out the bag soon. The first season had a censored version for TV broadcast, the semi-uncensored "gushing" version for streaming and a fully uncensored "ultra-gushing" version for home release. We don't know whether that'll be the same case for the upcoming season, but either way we'll be seeing some sexy magical girl action again eventually.
