Every now and then there comes a character in a kid's show or movie that inadvertently inspires untold numbers of children to become furries. Lola Bunny is one of the most notable examples, as is The Beast from Beauty and the Beast. For a lot of kids growing up in the late 80s/early 90s, their Furry Awakening was caused by Gadget Hackwrench, the cute mouse mechanic from Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers.
Not my slice of cheese, but if you're into her, you do you
Gadget naturally appears in the recent Chip 'n Dale movie on Disney+, which re-imagines iconic cartoon characters (and Ugly Sonic) as actors living alongside humans and follows the Rescue Rangers long after they went their seperate ways in life. Chip gave up the acting life in favor of becoming an insurance salesman, while Dale is washed-up and relies on nostalgia to make a living. Gadget, meanwhile, is a mechanic on and off-screen. She also married fellow Rescue Ranger Zipper, who's a fly about 1/4 her size, and they have 42 (and counting) mouse-fly hybrid children together.
Kinda gross if you think about it, but it's still a kid's movie so it doesn't dwell on it much and it's all played laughs. That hasn't stopped dudes on 4chan who grew up wanting to fuck Gadget from absolutely frothing at the mouth at how they've been cucked by a literal cartoon insect. Zip only makes buzzing noises and doesn't speak in the original series, but in the new movie it's revealed he has a deep Black guy voice. I'm pretty sure the writers just thought the juxtaposition of a tiny fly with a deep Black guy voice is funny, but to these morons it's all part of some Great Replacement conspiracy bullshit because... only white-sounding characters can fuck mice? Having a waifu is one thing, but giving yourself brain damage to this extent over a fictional character (a rodent, no less) is simply tragic. Please, go outside, touch grass, go to the gym and tell your family you love them before it's too late. No-one deserves such a fate. Other than guys who spend their time ranting about race on 4chan, of course.
Have you guys seen the new Rescue Rangers movie? Did you watch the original series growing up? It was a little before my time, but I really enjoyed the movie nonetheless. Sound off below!
