A new challenger has appeared in the realm of multiplayer shooters! As we know, it hasn't been easy to launch a new game in that field lately, but maybe this one has what it takes to make a lasting impact.
Fate Trigger: The Novita is a newly announced "hero-based tactical shooter" from Soroasis Games, a subsidiary of Tencent. It's set in a futuristic world full of floating islands, where you take on the role of "The Awakener" as you play as one of the many waifus in the game's roster, each witht their own unique physics-based weapons and skills, kinda like Apex Legends meets Genshin Impact meets Fortnite. There's one thing that sets Fate Trigger apart from the others, which you can see in this reveal trailer:
That's right, full-blown jiggle physics, baby! There's also a zero-tolerance approach to cheating and an advanced AI anti-cheat system, but let's be real, more people would be interested because those tiddies be bouncin.
Horniness aside, Fate Trigger looks like a mashup of existing games, or in other words, looks kinda generic once you get past the aesthetics. Whether it'll be enough to sustain any interest in the long run is anyone's guess, but we know for a fact it won't flop as hard as Concord did, although it'd be funnier if it did. Anyway, even if it does, I'm sure Tencent would manage with their current lineup.
Fate Trigger: The Novita is scheduled for release next year for PS5, Xbox, PC and mobile. There's also a closed alpha test you can register for over on the Steam page. Do you like the look of Fate Trigger? Do you think it has the potential to catch on? Sound off in the comments!
