Now, it has been seemingly confirmed that we’ll be getting Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 next year, 2023. Which makes sense, since we’re getting the movie soon, and we’re also getting Chainsaw Man this year, which is being done by the same studio, studio MAPPA. And that’s not even talking about all the other smaller series that MAPPA is most likely doing while working on both Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen. I’m pretty sure that MAPPA main animation budget and team man power is going mostly into Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen, so it would make sense that they both wouldn’t be coming out in the same year. It sucks, but it’s understandable. A prequal movie isn’t going to be enough to hold me off from wanting to see the Shibuya Arc, but I’ll live. Other rumors are speculating that season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen will be in Winter. Which would mean the start of the year, so the wait wouldn’t be too long when 2023 starts. But like I said, that’s only a rumor, and no concrete evidence at this point. So we’ll have to just wait and see.
