I know we all watch hentai on here and that shit can get pretty weird. But I don’t think we’ve ever seen a hentai about a guy, who has an ass fetish, and turns into a chair, so girls can sit on him. Well, this new anime movie by Your Name creator, Makoto Shinkai, isn’t about that either, but it’s damn near close.



Suzume no Tojimari, or its English title, Suzume Locking Up the Doors, is about Suzume, a 17-year-old girl who lives in a quiet town in Kyushu, encounters a traveling young man who tells her "I'm looking for a door." She follows after him and discovers a weathered door in the ruins in the mountains, as if it were the only thing left standing from a collapse. As if drawn by something, Suzume reaches for the door...

Before long, doors begin to open one after another in various parts of Japan. As disasters come from the far side of the doors, the open doors must be closed.

The stars, the setting sun, and the morning sky—in that place she wandered into, there was a sky that seemingly blended all of time together. Guided by the mysterious doors, Suzume's "door-locking journey" begins.

What that summary doesn’t tell you is that the man, Souta, turns into a chair because of some seemingly jealous and evil cat. And now we’re on a while goose chase to stop the world from ending and to GET THAT STUPID CAT!!!

When it comes to movies, Shinkai seems to never fail or drop the ball. So even though this concept and premise is kind of out there, there’s a huge possibility that this movie is going to be a banger just like all their other movies.
