Stellar Blade's Success Prompts Possible PC Port, DLC and More
By Yung Namahage • 7 months ago

Despite being used by morons on Twitter to push their silly culture war agenda, Stellar Blade came out to overall good reviews from critics and unprecedented levels of sales despite being limited by PS5 exclusivity. Naturally, Shift Up have big plans for the game that satisfy those who hadn't gotten around to it yet cos they don't have a PS5.

A stock report details the South Korean studio's next steps for Stellar Blade, which incude "new gameplay elements, including downloadable content releases, a PC version, and new IP collaborations." Since the game didn't release with a roadmap of post-launch content like most modern AAA games, it's reasonable to assume the DLC wasn't in development alongside the base game, and will likely start very soon. Moreover, the fact that it was popular enough to already have the devs thinking about a sequel is impressive for a brand new IP.

But that's not all from Shift Up: the report also mentions a new title in the pipeline: "Beyond Stellar Blade, we are developing a new IP-based game, Project Witches, for release in 2027 or later, and are considering a PC version of Stellar Blade and a sequel.” Remember Stellar Blade was first announced as Project Eve, so that name is expected to change before release.

We don't know just yet when the PC release or any DLC will be coming out, but rest assured it'll be here soon. Are you guys looking forward to more Stellar Blade, including the opportunity to finally play it on PC? Which other IPs do you think they'll collaborate with? Let us know below!
