Slay the Princess or Lay the Princess?

Saving the princess, or some other kind of damsel in distress, has been a common trope in gaming since its inception, as demonstrated in the Mario and Zelda franchises. But a certain game that's been doing the rounds over the internet lately is turning that concept on its head.

Slay the Princess is a visual novel set in a fantasy world where you play as an unnamed Hero, and a disembodied narrator voice instructs you to travel to a remote cabin in the woods and find a princess chained to a basement, and then kill her to prevent the distruction of the world. You can choose to go ahead and slay the Princess, avoid the cabin entirely, or help her escape her cruel fate. I don't wanna give too much away here, but long story short this cute princess ain't exactly who she seems, and after each run more and more layers of the Princess, the Hero, and the world around them get peeled back until nothing is quite like you expected.

It was released about 2 weeks ago, and shockingly there isn't a whole lot of fanart of the Princess, let alone R34. Maybe the game's a bit too high concept for people looking for fap material. but what we do have so far is decent, and it can't be denied that the Princess is cute as hell. At first, that is.

You can check out Slay the Princess on Steam if you wanna see what the hype is about. Has anyone out there played it yet? What would you rather do to the Princess? Let us know below!
