Roll's Pantsu in Marvel vs Capcom Exists Thanks to Keiji Inafune

With certain types on Twitter crying about censorship every time a rerelease of an old game has had any content change, it's can be surprising to see the content you wouldn't see these days still intact like it's no big deal. Especially when it comes from a company as huge as Capcom, who've been known to alter content from older games, and in a game that uses IP on loan from Disney of all companies.

Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection was released just a few days ago, and players of Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes and Marvel vs. Capcom 2: New Age of Heroes have made an important discovery when playing as cute android Roll from Mega Man.

Roll's panties were exposed during certain animations in the originals, and surprisingly, the panty shots have been left in the latest rerelease of the classic fighting games. As the news was going around Twitter, a former Capcom staffer who worked on the MvC series shed some light on the story behind Roll's pantsu. He said:

"Because Marvel vs Capcom's Roll is a character from another department, initially it was made with discretion in mind and absolutely no panty shots, but then Inafune, the head of the Mega Man department, came to see it and asked, "No panty shots?" So, the person in charge, character artist INO, added dots so that every movement would show panties."

Inafune is known for his work on the Mega Man franchise, as well as Dead RisingStreet Fighter and Resident Evil, until he left Capcom  He was also behind the legendarily bad Mighty No. 9 and a bunch of canceled titles in recent years. At least he's a man who made his mark on the gaming industry.

What do you guys think of this? Should they have included Roll's panties? Let us know below!
