Rie Takahashi Makes Special Request to Fans at Concert

It must be hard work being an idol. Not only do you have to keep track of all the characters you voice in various anime, games and movies, on top of other acting roles, model work, and memorizing both lyrics and dance routines for songs you perform every night while on tour. Rie Takahashi is one such example of an idol who's able to juggle all that work, known mostly for voicing Megumin in KonoSuba,  Mash Kyrielight in Fate/Grand Order, and Emilia in Re:Zero, among many others.

She recently held her first concert as a singer, and before that tweeted a cutesy handwritten infographic for her fans advising them on how to prepare for the event. Things like reminding people to charge their phones, making sure they bring their phones and wallets, not getting too drunk, and reminding them to shower beforehand.

The phrasing is more along the lines of "You don't want to bother someone with your smell," making it less about shaming people for their hygeine and more about creating a pleasant vibe for everyone in attendance. But let's be honest, if you've ever been to an anime or gaming convention you'll be well aware of the kind of aromas that arise when certain kinds of fans leave their basements for the first time in months and don't even bother with the deoderant. And while we're at it, it isn't just idol fans that should remember to bathe before a gig; there are plenty in the metal community I've personally witnessed that should also take Rie's advice to heart.
