Retro Peach is the New Hotness

She may have made her debut some time after Mario himself, but Princess Peach is still the most recognizable female character in the Super Mario series, and one of the most iconic women in gaming as a whole. Her design has been pretty consistent since Super Mario 64, but she looked a little different in the early years of the franchise in the late 80s and early 90s. While she was always meant to be blonde, the limited graphical capabilities of the NES made her hair more of a reddish-brown color, and due to inconsistent localization she was called Princess Toadstool outside Japan.

Princess Toadstool may technically be the same character as Peach, but her distinct design has led to her getting a following herself very recently, 39 years since her original appearance in Super Mario Bros. Even if she looks like regular Peach as a brunette with slightly tanned skin, the success or Bowsette proved the people want Peach-based waifus, especially when it comes to R34.

I'm a big fan of sprite-based lewds anyhow, so this new wave of OG Peach art makes me happy. How do you guys feel about retro Peach/Toadstool? Let us know below!
