Nier Automata Anime is Far From Over
By Yung Namahage • 8 months ago

2B's guest spot in Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising is proof that Nier Automata is still relevant even 7 years after the gane's release. The NieR Automata Ver1.1a anime definitely increased its staying power, but it was hit with some unfortunate delays last year. Episode 12 ended with a big cliffhanger based on one of the many twists in the game, but that'll be resolved before long.

The anime's official website confirmed it'll be back for another cour (12-episode run), accompanied by a new illustration (above) by chief animation director and character designer Jun Nakai. It's still too early for a release date or any updates beyond confirming we'll get it eventually, but at least it's good to know A-1 Pictures haven't abandoned it just yet.

As always, I'll be on the lookout for any updates on NieR Automata Ver1.1a. Are you guys hyped to see it return? Do you think it'll differentiate even further from the games than the first cour? Leave your thoughts below!
