There was a time when I would've considered myself a noob to JAV content. That time is no more. Over the past two years or so I’ve slowly upped my consumption to the point where now it’s more of a 50/50 split between doujins and JAV stuff. I see a lot and I mean a lot of wild shit in the JAV space, but one thing has stood out to me as completely ridiculous and an immediate immersion breaker: fake futa. You see futa has long been a nice secondary tag I look for in doujins, but obviously it’s not exactly an easy find in live action porn. The closest concept I’ve landed on is porn with a trans girl, which depending on their body situation can be pretty close to the futa fantasy in my eyes. If I’m in the right mood, that can work. What can’t work, is when a girl puts on a strap-on and acts as if it’s her real dick.

You read that correctly. Believe it or not, I see this shit WAY too much in the JAV lesbian content I consume. A girl will equip a strap-on in broad daylight with no censoring or other obscuring technique, and then another girl will stroke, suck, or otherwise play with the toy. Normally this is fine, but the equipped girl will start acting as if she’s really receiving stimulation from the act. I typically sit there dumbfounded, asking myself if the director’s intention was really for me to suspend my disbelief so hard to believe that this fake futa play is actually getting the receiving girl off. Usually I always praise the acting in JAV as since I’m not Japanese, it’s way easier to believe than American acting where I can truly evaluate the talent on display, but no amount of language or culture barriers can save this situation for me. Again, playing around with a strap-on is a-okay in my book, it’s only when we try to portray that toy as a real thing attached to a woman’s body that my immersion is shattered into a million pieces and I move on to the next of the thousands of available porn videos. I suppose in the grand scheme of things it’s a fine problem to have.

But man oh man does it work in 2D.

I’m interested to see if this is more of a me-thing or if there are plenty of people out there who can’t stand when a clear toy is passed off as a true stimulating organ. Even if you haven’t seen this issue directly, I’d love to hear about what kind of stuff can immediately break your immersion in a live action porn. One drawback for that medium is I think it’s way easier to fuck up the believability compared to hentai that’s for sure. Have you seen this “trick” used before?
