Hi-Fi Rush Saved by PUBG Publisher

Tango Gameworks, the former Bethesda studio founded by ex-Capcom legend Shinji Mikami, was unfortunately shut down by Microsoft not too long ago. Fans of their titles including The Evil WithinGhostwire: Tokyo and the surprise smash hit Hi-Fi Rush were left wondering if this means that their games would be forgotten. Fortunately, someone's stepped up to save them.

South Korean company Krafton, known for publishing PUBGMoonbreaker and the disastrous Callisto Protocol, announced they are acquiring both Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi Rush IP. A press release they published said:

"As part of this strategic agreement, Krafton intends to collaborate with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a smooth transition and maintain continuity at Tango Gameworks, allowing the talented team to continue developing the Hi-Fi Rush IP and explore future projects. Krafton intends to support the Tango Gameworks team to continue its commitment to innovation and delivering fresh and exciting experiences for fans."

Because they only explicitly mention the Hi-Fi Rush IP, we don't know if this means we'll also be getting more Evil Within or even another Ghostwire. Still, more Hi-Fi Rush is an amazing prospect, and I'm glad the world didn't stand by and let Microsoft ignore such a great game.
