Doujin Mangaka Ueno Naoya Found Dead
By Yung Namahage • 1 year ago

Bit of a bummer today, folks. Doujin magazine Comic Masyo, part of Sanwa Publishing, tweeted an obituary for artist Ueno Naoya. Naoya was found dead at his home after collapsing for yet unknown reasons on September 25.

Known for his works Hard-XIncest and Squall among others, Naoya had a recognizable artstyle that merged a retro aesthetic with modern shading. He was also a part of Doujin circle Highland Studio, though not much else on him is available on the net. Doujin artists are pretty secretive people, for understandable reasons.

Of course, the best way to honor his memory is to experience and enjoys his life's work for yourself. Lucky for you premium members we've got the aptly-titled Nudity over on our sister site. You know it's some good shit if it's in the premium section. You can also check his pixiv, assuming his kind of work is still allowed there.

Were you a fan of Naoya's work? Will you be pouring one out for him (cum, that is)? Let us know below!
