A new batch of anime are upon us my friends, or in this case a new season of an ongoing series. Mushoku Tensei is back to continue the tale of Rudeus and remind me how boring life is compared to a slice of life in a fantasy adventure. Minor spoilers ahead so be careful. In the last arc shippers rejoiced as Rudeus and Sylphie declared their love with a marriage proposal. It was cute to see them open up and Sylphie earned her goated status thanks to her mature and understanding approach to helping Rudeus with erectile dysfunction. Recently they’ve been planning their future and fans noticed something a bit peculiar: Sylphie sure loves the idea of having as many kids as Rudeus wants.
That alone isn’t very peculiar, but it’s almost as if Sylphie is excited by the idea itself. Whenever that gets brought up her face turns bright red and she gets a bit flustered. Fans of the show started joking that she might have a breeding kink, but everytime impregnation gets brought up again, it starts to feel like a real possibility for her character. Not in an overdone way where she wants to be bred like a pig seven days a week like your typical hentai representation of the kink, but perhaps a more down to earth approach to the concept. I personally don’t have any interest in that area so I’m not the best judge of whether or not Sylphie is down to add a ton of leaves to the family tree nor am I personally rooting for that to be the case. I’m simply observing what the fanbase is purporting. I can imagine anyone out there with a breeding fetish is already calling for her to be waifu of the season though.

Either way, we’re still very early in this story for Rudeus to be settling down and building a stable life together with a loved one so I’m afraid I’m waiting for something to fall apart at the drop of a hat. If they have to break up or spend some time apart for the plot to progress so be it, but nobody better hurt Sylphie after her tremendous deeds of last season.
