Crowdfunded KimiNozo Rerelease Gets Release Date

Last year we heard âge's acclaimed 2001 eroge Kimi ga Nozomu Eien, AKA KimiNozo or Rumbling Hearts, which has never officially seen the light of day here in the west, was getting a rerelease with added features. The caveat was the rerelease would be based on the 2008 Kimi ga Nozomu Eien: Latest Edition version of the game, which included improved artwork and extra story content but sadly cut the ero out of the eroge.

Rerelease developer aNCHOR  launched a crowdfunding campaign for the new release, which ultimately raised ¥57,892,199 (about US$394,699.81), almost double its target of ¥30,000,00. Because all the stretch goals were hit, it'll also include the fan disc, the extra episodes Kanashimi wa Kaze no Yo ni and Mabunozo, as well as Steam keys for Muv-Luv and Muv-Luv Alternative, also developed by âge and set in the same universe, plus a digital pamphlet about the KimiNozo/Muv-Luv crossover Operation Zero, all in addition to the base game.

Even if the sex scenes are absent, you have to admit that's a lot of content for one VN. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien: Enhanced Edition releases on October 18, and is now up for wishlisting on Steam. Are you looking forward to it, or does the cut content put you off? Sound off below!
