Chainsaw Man Author Endorses Assistant's Yaoi Manga

Chainsaw Man fans on Twitter were in for a shock when Tatsuki Fujimoto, creator of the Chainsaw Man manga, recommended a gay erotic manga by one of his assistants.

Fujimoto sometimes tweets under the psuedonym Koharu Nagayama, sometimes LARPing as a schoolgirl who happens to love Fujimoto's works but is usually just the man himself speaking directly to fans. Last week, "Koharu" retweeted mangaka Eris Sino advertising her newly released BL one-shot, Boku Yori Sukoshi Taiyo ni Chikai (Closer to the Sun Than Me). He also revealed that Sino assists him with drawing backgrounds for Chainsaw Man, and said "It's R18, but it's interesting, so please read it. thank you." It's always nice to see artists hyping each other up like that.

Boku Yori Sukoshi Taiyo ni Chikai was released in volume 32 of yaoi anthology magazine PriaL and isn't likely to have an English release, but will possibly pop up eventually fan-translated. And going by the replies on the tweet, a lot of Chainsaw Man and Fire Punch fans are down to follow Fujimoto's suggestion. Even if yaoi ain't your thing, Sino is a great artist and I'd totally recommend checking her art at least.
