Black Lagoon's Undercover Nun Waifu Gets Spin-off Manga
By Yung Namahage • 2 years ago

Few anime or manga can claim to have women as badass as Black Lagoon. Roanapur is a remote city forgotten by the rest of the world where only the toughest can rise to the top, and it just so happens that the ladies there can hold their own against any man. Revy, Balalaika, Roberta, even the women of the cloth are packing heat. That includes Sister Eda, a member of the church that deals in illegal smuggling operations that turns out to have designs of her own.

The series' true best girl already had her own spin-off some time back, but the latest issue of Monthly Sunday GX announced that Eda will be the focus of a new series chronicling her early days in the CIA long before she ended up in Thailand. The series will simply be called Black Lagoon: Eda -initial stage-, and will be written and drawn by Kamisama Dolls creator Hajime Yamamura.

The Sawyer manga was enough to satisfy those Black Lagoon cravings for a while, so I'll keep looking forward to this when it debuts on April 19. What about you guys? Let us know in the comments!
