Tomb Raider Remaster Quietly Deletes Lewd Posters, But...

With all the talk about Stellar Blade's Eve being the newest, hottest waifu in gaming, it's easy to forget about one of the OG gaming waifus, Lara Croft. Both Lara and the Tomb Raider franchise have changed a lot in the last 18 years, but the recent Tomb Raider I–III Remastered from Aspyr brought back the original trilogy, back when the series didn't hesitate to place Lara's big pyramid tiddy sex appeal front and center, along with some quality of life updates. But the latest update may have changed things a bit too much.

At the start of the fourth level in the Lost Artefact expansion of Tomb Raider 3, the player can find a series of sexy Lara Croft pinup posters above a line of lockers, as you can see here:

But after the most recent patch, the posters are nowhere to be found:

The removal of the posters, which were present in the original version from 2000, and they were even given a special mention on the official Tomb Raider website because they're signed by Laura Cruz, the original name for Lara before they decided to make her British. Moreover, the change wasn't mentioned in the most recent patch notes, and people were crying wOkE cEnSoRsHiP all over Twitter, as always. Finally, Aspyr themselves commented on it and confirmed their deletion was an accident. Rest assured, the pin-ups will return in the next patch.

Aspyr may have taken some Ls lately, particularly in the case of the Star Wars Battlefront rereleases, but as long as the posters are restored soon enough, this shouldn't be an issue. What do you guys think? Have you played Tomb Raider I–III Remastered yet? Let us know below!
